When you determine that your patient requires the guidance of a skilled cardiologist to provide the most effective and expert cardiac health care and communication possible, you want to be sure that you’re referring to the best. As your patient’s cardiologist, we will evaluate his or her symptoms, review the medical history, perform a thorough examination and may then recommend various tests for a more definitive diagnosis. Once we’ve arrived at the diagnosis, we will then determine how best to
manage the condition or conditions identified, skillfully using medications and other available treatments. If Dr. O’Brien or Dr. Kam decide that your patient needs
a procedure or surgery, they will refer to an interventional cardiologist, electrophysiologist or cardiovascular surgeon as needed. Your patient always remains under the watchful care of our physicians even when more advanced treatment is required from other cardiovascular specialists. Throughout your patient’s entire evaluation and treatment program as well as during all careful follow up, we will send you letters and summaries of the patient’s care immediately after each visit. Our goals are to provide your patient with the very best care available anywhere and to develop and maintain trusting relationships with you, within the medical community locally and with regional and national centers of excellence.
